Member/Management Committee Member: Swedish representative in the European Science Foundation (ESF) COST Action IS0807: “Living in Surveillance Societies”. Research on sociocultural dimensions of surveillance and mediatization. 

 

Member: "Mediated Networks: Engendering Diaspora and GlobalCitizenship". (Project center: Leeds University). The group conducts research on questions of mediated communications (especially by women in diasporic communities), transnational networks and globalization processes vis-à-vis citizenship.

 

Member: Swedish representative in the European Science Foundation (ESF) COST Action A30: “East of West: Setting a New Central and Eastern European Media Research Agenda.” Research on social inclusion, diversity, freedom of expression and media pluralism.

 

Member: Swedish representative Nordic Research Network for Media, Migration and Society.  (Project center University of Helsinki ). Research on social inclusion, transnationalism, migration and identiy.

 

CONSULTANCY EXPERIENCE
Provided academic knowledge and advice in the area of “social inclusion and cultural/ethnic aspects of information society development” to related state institution in Turkey during the preparation of the National Information Society Strategy.
